Fixtures as is have them home and away same days. Wonder how they will change them and disrupt fans plans. Sundays? Reverse games? Holds 7600 by the way.
Looking at this Coventry forum, hardly any Coventry fans will travel to Northampton to watch them: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/32954-Confirmed-northampton Playing 'home' games in a stadium 32 miles away from the city in a ground that is over 2 miles from a train station is ludicrous. Some of the attendances will be shocking especially some of the midweek games. Can you imagine BFC having to play at somewhere like Mansfield for all the home games? The Northampton deal is 3 years as well - what on earth will Coventry City FC look like after 3 years there? You could say the same about Rotherham and the Don Valley Stadium but at least the Don Valley was next door to Rotherham and not 30+ miles away
Holds 7600... but they have loaned 12 million from the council to improve the capacity to 10000... thats 12 million for 2400 extra seats... jesus h whos building them seats...
I never thought I would feel sorry for Coventry fans but I actually do - completely defies logic and from a quick scan of their message boards Northampton wont need to put in the extra seats for Coventry fans - be lucky to get 1000 going
