Does anyone think we could already have developed a vaccine against this deadly virus? Seems remarkable how royalty and government ministers catch the disease and apart from mild discomfort make a full and quick recovery whilst the man, woman, child in the street seem to be dying in their droves? Well your premise is miles out on 2 counts. The vast majority of people who get it suffer something that varies between no symptoms to a mild dose of flu. A small number get a bad dose of flu like symptoms, a tiny number get it really bad and some of them die. The key is remembering just how virulent it is so hundreds of thousands have had it and are mostly ok. The other point? I think you mean a cure? A vaccine is to stop you getting it
That's not a vaccine. Completely different thing. Vaccines take so long to create due to all the tests needed. What you're talking about is drugs to treat them and these do exist but in general are not cleared in the UK yet but HAVE been cleared for use in other countries. I don't think that they're being given to celebrities here I think it's simply that those who have caught it in government have simply been like the 99% of others who catch it and recover. Statistically when we've seen just a handful of government ministers test positive you wouldn't expect one to die
As to the vaccine, it's not going to be easy....I was reading an article this morning that they've already discovered five mutations of it....fortunately it's not mutating to a more dangerous form.
Sorry mate I was not getting on your case over this. Just being bored I thought I’d just throw into the mix that what we have atm is quite bad enough. God forbid an even more deadly strain coming along to wipe out the rest of us.
