How easy has it been to get tested where you live? I know most on here will be from the Barnsley area but for those who don't what has the availability been like? We have risen from 9 cases in Selby 2 weeks ago to 86 in the last 7 days which is very worrying yet the testing isn't available when you try book online. I have got an appointment with our local paper to ask questions of our MP today so thought I'd see how easy it is elsewhere or not to draw comparisons.
If your M.P. is a tory you'll get as much sense out of him/her as talking to a Blackpool Donkey regarding COVID. .
Little bit bemused. I received a letter from imperial college at the weekend. To see if I currently have covid. ( I understand the need for study) but am aware that testing in some parts of the country are hard to get hold of. I have no symptoms. But had all the symptoms when I was hospitalised in Dec/jan. Diagnosis influenza Type A. I genuinely didn’t think it was flu as I didn’t have some of the symptoms I associated with flu. A temp of 43 ( yes 43) oxygen level very poor.( wifey phoned 111 cos she was concerned. Took me straight in to hospital put me in a private cubicle then private room. ) After release Lack of taste for weeks. Fatigue. Would I like an antibody test . Absolutely. (But still not a foolproof test. Low percentage of those that have had covid. Tested positive. Are showing the antibodies.) Ps thanks to BDGH for their care during my stay.
I had my test last Tuesday at the drive through at Meadowhall. When we got there the car registration didn't match up. We were asked to re-book and drive to Leicester until (mother in law kicked off and asked to speak to a manager) then we were ushered round and I was given the test and asked to register my bar code online before midnight. This part of the process was easy to use. Although the 119 service was farcical to say the least.
