He must be nuts. The Celtic job will come around again but he might only get one crack at the premiership. And you'd think he'd want to see it through.

    Its all about money

Celtic will give him a big salary that would be 5 times his wage at Burnley, can you blame him if he moves ????

Take them further forward? There is no further forward for Celtic. They will always be 1st or 2nd in the league, they will always win (or be in the final of) a cup or 2 and they will always get in the group stages of the champions league but not progress much further.

And all that excitement will be there in 3 or 4 years when he's seen through what he's set up at Burnley.

I think succeeding in England, followed by success in Scotland

Gets you another crack at the Premiership.

This time next year he could be celebrating winning the league and cup double, and securing Celtic their first away win in the Champions League. Or he could be in charge of Burnley, who gave it a go but ultimately got relegated and are looking at Championship football again.

Very smart move in my opinion by Coyle, just feel sorry for Burnley.

Champions League - they will go out in the group stages

I'm sure he would get a greater sense of achievement keeping Burnley in the biggest league in the world than he would increasing the points gap over Hearts and Aberdeen

True. But I'm sure he's not on a pittance at Burnley. Or wont be now they got promoted.

I'd rather spend a year in the Premier and a year in the Championship than two years in the SPL

Four games against Hamilton and St Mirren? No thanks

No pressure for him next season at Burnley

If he goes to Celtic and they don't win the league he's out.

Wouldn't he rather be pitting his wits against Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger etc, going to Old Trafford, Anfield, Emirates, Stamford Bridge etc

I am not a manager but the prospect of managing in the PL, as reward for the hard work put in so far, is far more attractive to me than going to Celtic. I know they are a big club, and they will have about 8 games of CL football (knocked out at group stage) but the PL is where the worlds attention is week in week out. The SPL doesn't get a look in. It can't be about money as I am sure Burnley could pay him just as much with their PL cash. He must be mad IMO.

They nearly knocked AC Milan out of the last 16 two years ago

If Coyle could go one better than that, or even lift the Europa League trophy, he'd go down as a legend at Celtic, his boyhood team.

He's a Celtic fan, and the money will be better.

    His decision, nobody elses.

Big ifs, but it is a fact that he will be in the biggest and best league in the world next season, up against the best.

    He won't go to Celtic

He's a lifelong fan, obviously. But he wants to stay at Burnley for at least another season.

Plus, he's been told by many close to him he'd be mad to leave just yet.

It's only 3 games against Hamilton and St Mirren unless they finish in the top 6.
