CPU usage 100%

    only program running is Firefox so I can read this board (chinny) (chinny)

    Assuming you are using Windows XP....

    Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE on your keyboard and click "Task Manager".

    Click on the "Processes" tab and look for the process that has a high value in the cpu column.

    Then report back...

    But which process is chewing up the processor?

    Are you saying it's Firefox?

    firefox was showing 89%, pc pitstop said a virus, several scans later (none of em showing a virus) back up to speed cpu now says 0-5 :)
