Probably my favourite ever goal. Ever.

 

Did you not see Barnard's against Hudds?

Or Hignett's against Walsall?

Perhaps Brian Howard's against Coventry?

Or, if we're being sentimental, Odejayi's against Chelsea?




Great goal that though, from Davo, at Peterbro. A scorer of great goals. Not a great scorer of goals.

 

I was too busy eating a bag of maltesers for Barnard's, can't remember Hignett's, wasn't at the Coventry or Chelsea game either.

It was just perfect. The context of the game, the way we'd played, the move up to it, pass from Butterfield. Everything. Perfect.

 

I thought that that goal and that win woudl define our season. It did, but not in the way I thought it would. It turned out to be just about the high point.

 

Every little bit of quality that was in that side has now gone. No coincidence.

 

He has got a good shot on him, when he connects right. So did Werling. End.
