has failed to score in 19 games out of 26 appearances (inc 5 sub) he's made this season. Scored all his goals in the remaining 7 games.

being played out of position... wasted on the left/right of a 3 man attack

saying that he's hit and miss when he's played up front but when he does play well hes more than capable of doing the job... just needs that consistency of performance which may come in time

Weren't he a left winger when we bought him? Played there all season for Chesterfield according to their forum when we signed him.

I really like Davies. Think he's coped well with the considerable step up in level, added to which his previous team were the best in their respective league so created a lot of chances for him. He doesn't get the same number of chances but has still scored 9 league goals, many of which he has made himself. He is quick, strong, and has real quality. This is tempered by a failure at times to hold the ball up, and a lack of composure in one on ones. This would have added at least another 3 or 4 goals to his tally. But if he was a complete player he wouldn't be playing for us.

I think he is far more effective up front and whenever I've seen him play his work rate is excellent. The problem with playing him upfront on his own is that the ball doesn't stick as well, but he's a real threat and I don't think many centre halves will enjoy playing against him.

I don't think so. He might have cut in from the left to score but he's a centre forrad.
