Got a feeling its going to be him. His odds shortened dramatically just before the bookies suspended betting. Personally i hope i'm wrong, wouldn't be a very inspiring appointment.
I'm at the point where I just want it sorting. And, an outside appointment. Burton would be the worst appointment for me. Nowt against him, just don't see him being the answer.
As much as I loved him as a player I don't think Higgy is the right man. It would be a very poor appointment in my opinion.
If it's him that's me done after 38 years, not good enough for Darlington or Hartlepool but we think he's the best option?
I was told yesterday that Higgy was at the game. But he wasn't. He was at Boro as a guest of Bernie Slaven. He didn't apply for/want the Hartlepool job. He's applied for this job. I'd welcome him home. Not my first choice, but a reds legend so hardly going to turn me away from supporting my club. Who do you want, Huddersfield?
Experienced, someone who can lift the place and someone who Isnt picked purely based on the fact that he once played for us.
Hignett has had No Managerial experience and would be an underwhelming appointment IMO but I'm sure the fans would unite behind him and give him a chance.
I get the feeling we're looking to appoint someone willing to come in and work with Heckingbottom & Crossley at least. Maybe he's the man for it - especially with how close he was before.
Whoever gets job won't please everybody but at end of day we support barnsley through good times and bad times
He took over as player-manager of Sheffield United in 1997, but lasted less than a year. He later had brief spells in charge of Barnsley in 2001 where he signed 5,986,903 midfielders, and Millwall in 2006. He now works for Netto, ont tills.
Thank god for that. Never seen such a negative person as you. You seem to hate everything to do with BFC. Think we can live without you. Can take a couple of your fellow posters with you.
I think Wikipedia is fantastic, but I'm shocked at the amount of people who don't realise anyone can edit anything on it within seconds. Not referring to the examples given here, these actually highlight the fact, just in general. Write something that isn't tongue in cheek, just plain wrong, on Wikipedia and 99% of people will take it as gospel.
