    Av bin to Auschwitz

    Well worth a visit
Went just after the wall had come down
So things will have changed now
Auschwitz is 3 camps not just 1 and each camp is a distance from one another
Theres the small one that used to be an army camp - in this one there is the gate with...work makes freedom (if I remember right) plus all the large glass displays containing hair, shoes, shaving brushes etc etc etc
Block 11 which has a shooting wall at the side of it - this is the part that people lay flowers
There is an industrial part that. I don't think theres a visitor centre here or it may not exsist anymore
Then a short bus ride away there is the great wopping massive place which is Birkaneu
I've stood in the room over the railway line that took 100s of thousands straight to the gas chamber - its always shown on pictures of the place
What do I think of it - definatly a place to go and visit - but don't get near people that are likely to cry easily and if you are in a group try to keep away from German visitors because there is likely to be tension in the air
