I was there. They did the double over us that season. It was a dubious honour to see both games. They still got relegated. they will also have had a longer break between fixtures as there game yesterday was postponed. We will need to be on our game. How about back to back home wins?
Their previous match was postponed. Will make a difference over the busy festive period. So a tough match is a given, and a draw wouldn't surprise me. I'd certainly expect some rotation of the side to try and limit fatigue as much as possible.
Crawley try and play football. They're far too open with it unfortunately. I'd be amazed if they came to Oakwell in a low block. It's just not them. We could blow them away, or as we've seen in earlier home games, get sucked into a back and forth. It should be an exciting game, regardless.
Their last away game was bonkers Exeter 4 - 4 Crawley Crawley 15 Exeter 35 Crawley 37 42 45+1 Exeter 60 82 90+3 Cant hold a lead !!!
So Crawley have a 100% win record at Oakwell and this season havent lost away when scoring first. First goal could be vital As said above we have just won 3 difficult fixtures when after the orient debacle most of us could see 3 losses or at best a draw or two. Now we have 3 "easy" games - I think we all know how this works for us
Mixed expectations from their fans. A few hoping they’ll be fresher than us, which is a fair consideration. https://ctfcfansforum.freeforums.net/thread/3470/barnsley-predictions
I know I'm not going to bet a penny on the outcome. Anything could happen! We're crap at home, but yet beat Hollywood FC. Crawley are relegation fodder, but we know Barnsley too well. We could play like Barca, but the referee will make it about him...
