Ever since the new Ponty End opened, complete with areas for disabled supporters, I've had a season ticket for there along with my friend/helper. Because of the lack of a suitable entry point to get to the area where we sit at the Ponty End, we've always entered together via a suitable entrance behind the West Stand & then made our way to the Ponty. All that changed today. Although the steward on the gate is allowed to take my ticket, he is now forbidden to take my friends. My friend now has to go through a nearby turnstile & then come back out of the ground via the nominated disabled entrance to meet back up with me before we can then both make our way to the Ponty. The steward seemed as bemused by it all as us & could only say it was a new rule from the club. You just couldn't make it up!
Thats just barmy To forcibly separate you from your helper cant be right Whilst I am sure you can cope quite happily for a few minutes without your helper thats not always the case - I think a strongly worded letter to Don is called for here and get that reversed
totally stupid suppose it could just be a steward who has misunderstood but if its trues it defies belief
Similar thing when taking "additional" kids Took my nephew for a one off game, and was asked to send him thru a turnstile 20 yards away from where me & my daughter needed to go in with Season Tickets. Grea idea separating us from an 8 yr old. Luckily my friends waited outside with him til we got in to meet him on the inside. Barmy.
That's just what I was thinking EastStander I'm assuming that another bubble sits in a disabled area (presumably the upper right hand corner of the ponty end) yet he's saying there is no disabled entrance to that section of the ground. That sounds like great planning when the stand was designed.
Crazy and, sadly, not at all surprising The club just seems to delight in finding new ways to alienate its customers with petty, unnecessary rules and a complete unwillingness to apply common sense.
Come on Patrick, you've done some wonderful things but can you PLEASE sort out this side of the club. The PR and customer services are abysmal.

I've also noticed lately That all of the advertising spaces in the east stand concourses are empty. If we've got ANY empty advertising spaces then someone should be making calls and getting people to fill them, not allowing them to sit empty.
