got one for xmas, opened it yesterday, it's frozen in less than a day, have used the reset button but woudnt have thought it should freeze so quickly, although a lot of recent reviews seem to focus on this very issue (chinny)
cheers, as long as the reset works i can live with it, as long as it doesnt happen too frequently, sound is good, easy to load songs onto and navigate around, havnt sorted out videos or photos yet though
Mine did it loads of times got shut in the end, but my son has one and his is perfect. So I think I may just have been unlucky.
We have three Creative Zens A 40gb and 2 x 20 gbs
Yes, they freeze from time to time and can be a bit of a bugger to launch with the software, freezing frequently. But they tend to get over it and become extremely reliable machines. Mine sometimes goes into freeze when I try to load stuff on andI have to reset it, but it always comes back. They also have their little habits, like pausing when you press skip, or not moving on when you ask it to, but just keep perseveringand it will eventually do what you ask. One ofours will be three years old in April and is still going strong.
I wouldn't even consider an ipod now.

Hang on though... They freeze from time to time, when launching software, when loading stuff on, they pause when you skip and don't do what you ask them to? And you wouldn't consider an ipod? How bad are ipods? Ours is faultless.
I've got a zen micro and i've never had any issues with it, are you sure you gave it long enought to charge before you first used it
RE: Hang on though... Go to any review site for ipods and creative and you will find as many horror stories as you can stomach.
I'm happy with mine, but they all glitch from time to time. If yours doesn't then you have been very fortunate.
http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews1155.html
