This summer has been frustrating for us fans wanting to see new blood, and probably just as frustrating for the management team.

But this week has seen the arrival of a player who, if Liverpool fans are to believe, was tipped to get into the first team squad within the next year, so to get him on a permanent deal is outstanding piece of business.Don't know how he does it but Davey manages to sell a small club in south yorkshire with a rather small fan base to some bloody good players.

Also credit to him and his network again for managing to persude an International player who is still relatively young and playing in one of Europes major leagues to come over to us on loan. If he's half as good as that strike that left the worlds most expensive keeper flapping, then we could have a good player. He looks tough and looks like he'll get stuck in so i'm sure he'll suit the Championship. He will bring a balance to our left side as well.

Just get that Gray deal sorted or something similiar and we'll be in not bad nick.

p.s Has the Jamaican lad signed as well???

Both look good signings for us but Hamill was never going to get into the Liverpool first team and the Championship is a step up from Italian 2nd division. As for You Tube goals.....seen Devaneys from two seasons ago at Plymouth.....lets keep some perspective

He was a regular at Serie A level last season.

His former team Reggina got relegated.

Hallfredsson was playing for Reggina in Serie A last season. Reggina have only just been relegated to Serie B.

    I'll second that

Still a bit worried about the strength in depth of the defence though.

I agree. I still want us to get a proper left back and another centre half - even if it's a youngster on loan.

He played consistently at Serie A level so he comes over with bags of top flight football experience.

Beating Buffon from 30 yards isn't bad either is it? If you've seen the goal on Youtube.

There was also interest in him from Chievo of Serie A, so we've beated a top flight team in Italy to get him.

I'll be looking forward to see him playing, have high hopes of him too.
