Yes, we were poor tonight - no question, an 'off night' - but we've played sides who have presented themselves at Oakwell in the same hap-hazard fashion and we've credited ourselves that we did that to them or that we made them look bad, or at the very least that we were professional enough to capitalise on their mistakes. Well, tonight it was the other way round. Hull were sharp up front, their front two played as a unit, they worked our centre backs really well to create chances. They had a big tough centre forward who held up well, they had a fast skillful centre forward who manipulated his pace and touch. They really did a good job. The second half was very professional - they held us off, we never really threatened - and they hit us with a third to kill it at the death. Good job well done. I'd be really pleased with that if I was a Hull City fan tonight. Hats off to them. It's back down to earth for our boys, and time to start rebuilding that unbeaten run, one game at a time.
Totally agree, Hull played very well, we were no match for them on the night, it was so easy for them against a very poor reds side. Wonder if all these holidays that Simon has given his players during the break has been the right decision. They looked well off the pace on saturday, and tonight they were on their knees after 10 minutes. :'(
Yes they took advantage and so they should, but we should have been better. I thought this manager was supposed to be a coach - what does he see in Werling then?
Thank fook for that!! A sensible reponse to tonights game!!! Come on, people!! It might have been a bad day at the office, but lets please stop sounding like bloody Wendy fans! They've turned that many corners, Swillsboro may as well be a roundabout! We're far, far, far better then them, on and off the pitch!
