Not really. He worries too much about what the opposition are going to do than concentrate on our qualities.

Davey has acted very professional throughout imo. I like him and I personally dont think there is a better replacement around. The emotion showed by SD on Tuesday night showed me he is fully committed and has the know how to move our club in the right direction.

He got it bang on today,he changed the team when it weren't working and only goal scoring let us down today.

    by 'the emotion'

you mean taking the credit from the fans at the final whistle? He only does that after a victory, never takes the flak after a defeat.

No he didn't. Bristol City were there for the taking.

After tuesday night, when the two wingers won the game for us, playing how they should be, wide and well up, he decides to play Jamal pretty much inside, and Devaney's main job was to shore up the right flank. If both had have been given the license to do what they want to do, we'd have had a lot more threat going forward. Plus Hume was having to drop deep to link the midfield as with Anderson and Colace, there was no support whatsoever.

    agreed

colace and anderson were too deep, we needed one of them to come forwards or be replaced by leon. Davey also left devaney on for too long and put rigters on the bench for reasons known only to himself. Lazarus cant be good enough anymore.

If Davey had left us with two wide men their midfield would have over run us down the middle, like they were doing for the first
    10/20 minutes.

Thankfully Davey has a good undserstanding of the game

And could see we were getting overrun in midfield in the first 25 minutes. He changed the tactics slightly and as a result we dominated for the rest of the game. We did everything right but score and you can't blame Simon Davey for Hume and Macken missing those chances. If we had continued in the manner you have outlined we would have continued to be under the cosh.

That's all anyone has been asking him to do.

It's not as if the criticism hasn't been warranted - and a couple of wins and a draw doesn't get us out of the woods either (just in case you haven't looked at the foot of the table, we're still down there)

    spot on Jay

"We started off very well and created some opportunities. They had to change their shape a couple of times to deal with us.

"In the second half they got on the ball more and started putting us under pressure a bit more and we had to defend."

You must have been watching a different game to me because there is no way Andersen was playing deep.

"Lazarus cant be good enough anymore"

The lad is only just 15. He can't be expected just to come in and take a first team place. He was quite obviously 'not gonna be good enough' to do that, doesn't mean he won't be in a year or 2 though.
