Crewe Alexandra have enquired about Chris Lucketti, although the Sheffield United defender does not want to move until after Christmas. Lucketti has made just one appearance for The Blades this season and has been linked with a switch away from Bramall Lane. The 35-year-old turned down a loan move to Barnsley earlier this month, while several other Championship sides have been monitoring his situation. League One was also an option for the centre half, after Crewe boss Dario Gradi revealed he expressed an interest. But Lucketti wants to leave a decision on his future until after the festive period, when Gradi may renew his bid for the stopper. "I knew that Chris had turned down a couple of loan opportunities already, but out of courtesy I rang Neil (Warnock) to see if there was a chance that he may have been interested in coming here," Gradi told the club's official website. "I've known Chris for a number of years because he was once here as a kid when I first arrived at Crewe. "Neil told me that Chris had passed on his regards, but he didn't want to do anything until after Christmas which is fine. "It could be a possibility then, but it will depend on our situation and how our two lads (Baudet and Cox) are fitness wise."
