When we played Southampton at home in cup last season a band I really like were playing in Sheffield. Stupidly I chose to go to the match. When Southampton scored their second, I thought, "**** this" and left the game the earliest I have ever left a game in my life. I can't even remember another time I've left before the final whistle. Turned out to be a good choice as we conceded another 3 and when I did get to Sheffield the band were brilliant. As I was flying down the A61, on the way to the gig, I decide I was never going to a stupid league cup game again.

Here we are, just 10 months on, our very next match in the competition and I'm thinking, "Ooh, Steve Davis, it'd be nice to see him again, think I'll get a ticket for that match." That's all it's taken to change me mind, I'll be able to see a bloke who used to play for us, stood up, doing nowt, next to a dugout, 70 yards away. I'm a reight ******* mug.

Always thought the 1st round should be included in season ticket. I always feel ripped off shelling out do soon after, well I would if I've been to a League Cup game in recent seasons. I don't bother watching it on TV, it's been devalued along with teh UEFA Cup (Europa league) to the point that if clubs can't be arsed with it then I certainly can't.

Should stick all the Prem clubs in to the first round draw and get the seeding to f*ck.

Free for all from first round and I'd be more interested.
