    Why should they cave in and give him what he wants? Money really does seem to be a cancer in all major sports.

    im not sure about it been money mario.

    He wants resting from time to time i think.
    Hes the only batter to play all formats or he was.
    He says they havent looked after him.
    They rest everyone but not him.

    Or and hes really lost it with them now, theyve leaked meeting ti press.

    I can see it from both angles mario.

    It seems to me that it's about him missing certain test matches to accommodate him wanting to play in the IPL. I don't think the ECB should or will back down.

    Why should they? If they do they set a precedent, how many other players will start to say I don't want to play in this or that? Can't be done, KP has got to do as his paymasters want or play County cricket and IPL, up to him. There are others who will happily take his place in the England team.

    Ok, ill give Kps view
    All the other sides give time for ipl but ECB dont. Should he miss out when all those othet playets dont. And aussies let you pick which you want to play.

    If he does go off and play in the IPL he'll be finished in this country because I can't see any county being able to afford him. He will end up playing IPL and that's it. It's just greed, plain and simple.

    He is employed by the ECB. Their rules are the same for any player. It doesn't matter a jot what the Aussies do, maybe that is why they are so **** at test cricket these days, there are those that think it has had a detrimental effect on the Indian test side.

    He plays for England, the ECB pay his substantial wage so he has to play by their rules, no two ways about it. The tail should never wag the dog - the FA should take note.

    If its the players then ecb have problems.

    Only the ecb can stand upto ipl in players. thanks to addidas, Sky .....
