I went to Lancashire match in June.

There were over 15,000 there for that match and if you get in popular enclosure it's a good atmosphere.

    Pints are £4 each.

Depends who they are playing but it can be anything between 5,000 and the full house, but that only happens when Lancashire come. Durham unlikely to bring many so my guess would be 6 or 7,000. Despite the poor results there is still plenty of interest there and you just never know what you are going to get. The big hitters could produce nothing much or, on the other hand, they could be hitting sixes to all parts of the ground.

I think Yorkshire have maybe one more chance to get back into this competition, and next Friday should decide it. If they crumple in a heap like last night they will be in the bottom four for the rest of the season. If they win, who knows.

The attraction for me is seeing a load of international and first class cricketers doing their stuff. You see the likes of Paul Collingwood going out to bat for them and you remember all the great occasions that he has done it for England. He's pretty handy with the ball as well.

Yorkshire have enough of a decent squad even without the England regulars to make it worth watching. I've got a season ticket so have to go anyway
