Does anyone else think these pitches are a joke? How can these be test pitches? SA/AUS/ENGLAND Never doctor pitches that much.
the Aussies never used to produce pitches that were a fast bowlers paradise when they had their batteries of fast bowlers? course not
There pitch in 11/07 where good pitches. ECB produce good pitches SA produce good pitches. Pakistan rubbish pitches that suit there team. ICC say theres a rules about good pitches.
I prepared cricket wickets for a number of years everyone always has an opinion especially the ones that can't play on it.
A pitch prepared for the home side, nowt new there. We need to learn how to play different conditions. Its a global game.
if you have even watched any of this series currently going on in dubai or had any significant knowledge of cricket you would realise poor batting has contributed to 95% of the dismissals. DRS has been a game changer and batmans attitudes to digging and scoring ugly runs when needed, the match that has started today has been a prime example, 16 wickets on a first day pitch that has neither turned or seamed to any significant degree is simply not good enough from either team
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat. England bowled them out for 99. Blows you arguement out of the water don't you think?
Englands bowling attacks twice the attack of any other team jt imo. Trott/cook. icc test and icc best playet couldn't get a run on it. they are bril and these pitched are making them get low scores. why cant they have proper pitched.
By proper pitches you mean pitches that suit England? You're mental. Pakistan have to bat on the same pitch, they do it better, against the best attack in the world (your words).
there are guidelines set by icc. england dont prepare pitches in that way. darren gough said the same thing.
The west Indies hardly ever used to lose a test at home as they set the pitches up to suit the bowling line up they had at the time. Pakistan did the same when they had Younis and akram with the reverse swing. Its called home advantage. Pakistan are a very ordinary team and England are being made to look silly
Interestingly, neither player has played that much in Asia to confirm or refute that argument. Cook has a lower average in Asia than anywhere else, Trott just hasn't played enough test cricket to bother counting. But in the history of the game, the very best batsmen have found ways to score runs in Pakistan/India/Sri Lanka, against all the odds of pitches and different bowling types. If anything, I think there is much more consistency in pitch preparation around the world nowadays than in the past. I think to understand why our batsmen aren't making runs, they need to look closer to home and understand that they are underprepared, over-confident and suffer the age-old England problem of being simply unable to play spin properly. Bell, Pietersen and Morgan in particular.
and Pietersen has a technique issue with left arm spin in recent years regardless of where he plays beit on home soil or where ever.
