Video Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I06gLCiFEJI I'm not sure if this is the same bloke, got the link from Twitter so can't take the credit/blame "Eric Beauchamp @Eric1nSpain 13h @ajbrammer Barnsley trialist Cristian Lopez goals http://bit.ly/12FUamG Retweeted by Adam Brammer " Sorry if already posted.
Watched that through, twice. He's quick, good touch and superb positional sense. Give him 45mins v Bordeaux and 60+ v Rothers, see how he gets on. I'd love to see a bit of Latin flair at Oakwell, if he's got the chops.
Looked decent from the video. Hard to compare since I dont really know the standard of the opposition, and yes, there were a few keeper howlers in there. On the other hand you're right, superb positional sense and some very tidy finishes. I'll have 20 tap in's a year thanks very much
Goals at 4:30 and 4:50 looked very good. Looks to have skill but can he do that against a championship defence. I'd give him a 1 month rolling contract with an option for 1 year and if after the first month he looks good then sign him up. Music is also....interesting, found myself nodding to it!
He'll not play in both and can't see him starting in either. The Reds play Eastwood tomorrow night and i would think he could play there.
I personally think he's worth some kind of contract, I liked him the other night, he just tried too hard to impress, he always wanted the ball and shows great determination and DNA. Flicker said himself he doesn't want to try him against Bordeaux, worth a punt IMO
To be fair to Lopez I thought he did nothing wrong when he came on on Saturday. He looked lively, won a couple of headers and was always showing for the ball and finding space top run into. It was obvious during the half time warm up that he is still finding his feet within the team and looked a bit of a outsider looking in, but that is to be expected when you consider the team ethos that the players carried over from last season. I do not think Flicker would have given him playing time if he didn't think he was any good and I would expect him to play a part in all the remaining friendlies: Whether he gets a contract offer at the end we shall have to wait and see.
Flicker said in his interview that he wanted to see how he got on against a Championship defence - which is why he played against Wolves (let's be honest they do have a Championship quality team). Said he'll leave it up to Paul Heckingbottom as to whether he's worth a contract and that he would be playing in the 21's games so doubtful we will see him again in the remaining first team friendlies.
I agree wi Hemsy...cos am sure I heard flicker say he's going in with the 21 lads...he's one for the future
Development squad, one for the future, agree with Hemsky? Lopez is 24 years old. Throw the fcker in and see if he can swim. If not, send him home.
some decent finishes there IMHO have to wonder what the standard of the other teams were though. However that does not take away some of the very good finishes he made , assuming its the lad presently at Oakwell. Some of the finishes needed skill not all were simple tap ins. Worth a punt for me.
Scores scruffy goals, tap ins and one on ones. No one on the books does that at oakwell on a regular basis.
