Ordered to be rebuilt brick by brick fantastic result, hopefully now the dodgepots get a custodial sentence for what was a clear attempt to redevelop the land, happens far to regularly without consequences.

Didn't they hire the digger they used to flatten it before the fire occurred? Idiots.

Also blocked the road to stop the fire service getting through.
They will appeal it though, so it could drag on for some time. It needs a proper criminal investigation, emails, text messages etc.

The only access road was also blocked with a big load of soil on the night that it accidentally got set on fire, so the fire engines couldn't get to it.

I know the pub well. I think it's fair to say that the new owners massively underestimated the extent to which local people appreciated it. It'll be an interesting few months for them.

I've seen this a lot over the years, they often get set on fire on a bank holiday Friday/Saturday morning and knocked down for 'safety reasons' over the weekend knowing of course that by Tuesday it's too late for the Council to intervene.

Yes, I see the canal still hasn't been reinstated at Stairfoot yet.
