    Drug abuse certainly seems to open up all sorts of doors to today's disaffected youth

    I'm thinking of taking up heroin in my retirement, in order to supplement my pension. Do I have to sign up for these incentives in advance, or can I just turn up with a used needle and my hands open?

    Drug addiction is a massive problem in our society and anything that gets these young people off drugs is to be applauded. Whether it will work or not is another thing.

    Granted, but it's not the only one, though. Motivating much of today's youth to do a day's work for a day's pay is becoming a problem which is increasingly dragging the UK down and offering incentives to people who aren't contributing much to society at the expense of those who are isn't going to help that very much. I understand that there are cost benefits as well as social benefits of drug rehabilitation but I find it hard to take free Premier League tickets seriously as a fair and just part of that.
