Achieved nothing since he been in the hot seat, Losing more and more fans is something doesn't change soon we will never get the fans back. What I am trying to say is, Mabye it time for him to step aside. (If anyone wants us)
Done a fantastic job. But things and times change. I hope Lee Jay is his Swan Song in a positive way.
Here's my response to the same suggestion in a different thread: Reight, so then what? I doubt he'd just give the club away, so we'd need a buyer. Is there anyone amongst us on this forum who could chip in, financially, in fact, would anyone even want to? Say for example enough reds supporters decided they'd be up for doing it, some kind of supporter buyout, then what? We'd have to seriously cut our cloth I'm sure. By all accounts, despite our big gates in this division, and having got rid of all the big earning players and recruited cheaper players, as well as the youth loanees etc, Mr Cryne is still having to pump money in himself every year, a million pounds was it? The academy costs a pretty penny to run, you've the likes of Linton Brown and his team to pay, Ben Mansford won't be on minimum wage, does Maurice take home a salary? Then you've the management staff, media team, police bills, catering, exec staff, Barry Taylor's biscuits, etc etc etc. How would we be able to afford that? If our turnover, sponsorship coinage and other income (cup money, TV coin, Holgate fee etc) is only allowing us to build this current squad of loanees, non league gambles, lower league youngsters etc, then a supporter owned BFC would surely be even poorer? I'm only putting the supporter owned suggestion out there because by all accounts there isn't another wealthy individual or consortium interested in taking over BFC. I long for the day that someone puts forward a truly workable option that makes sense, seems doable etc. I've a feeling Mr Cryne would be all ears too.
How do u know what he wants for the club Mabey he wants to much but surly someone want us. Think we need a change in direction to get the club moving forward, plus cryne must be running out of money if he been putting 2 mil + a year, need some props investment I want to see Barnsley in the prem before I die, just wish I had the money.
You're not allowed to criticise St pat he saved the club you know, the fact he's pumped millions in and we are still in exactly the same place we were when he took over mainly because he's hired and fired managers at the drop of a hat and then had to pay compo to the managers and pay off dozens of players to get rid of dead wood is all to be forgotten. The club despite what the happy clappers would have you believe is dying on its arse at the moment crowds are dwindling and the club as lost touch with all but a select few of the supporters. I'm still to be convinced by Crynes latest selection of manager or head coach whatever ******** Ben is calling him this week. But we must not question the actions of the great messiah St pat of oakwell it's just not allowed.
I assume you mean on the field with this quote, because the football club as a whole is certainly not in the same place it was 10-12 years ago. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Besides ensuring we still have a club. He's made mistakes and we're back to where he was when he took over so you could argue we haven't made progress but without him we wouldn't have a club.
Also had a cup semi final and 8 years in the championship. Mistakes have been made but I don't get this argument that we've not achieved anything in PCs time. We were in a right mess when he took over, not so now, we just happen to be in the same league again, but then football in general has moved on since then, particularly finances, we're probably in our natural place league wise now.
As we keep losing fans, the less money we have the lower league we will end up in. I like pc just think it time for a massive overhaul.
How many times will this debate happen? Cryne will only step aside if an offer is put it from a buyer he thinks is good enough. It's going to be a while yet.
I like Patrick Cryne the man but I disagree with a lot of his decisions, mainly which managers he's financially backed. One thing I know for sure is his hearts in the right place
Yes we would, I fail to understand why people keep saying this ? Cryne had the chance to buy the club before Doyle and didnt bother, so as Doyle proved , someone will always step in, we would have a club, in what division is another argument all together !
