At the moment 'officially' Cryne is on the outside as the 100% shareholder of the club, he is not a director or employee of the club. Hopefully Cryne will come 'in' now and take charge of events. Stronger together...!
of course he has silly. There are only 3 people involved Mr. Cryne 100% owner, Mr. Taylor (part time director) and Mr. Rowing (Mr. Cryne's proxy and hands on man). Cryne does make all the major decisions, but has decided to keep himself officially on the outside.
my point exactly. Why present to the outside world, a club with no head (no chief executive or chairman). Why pretend that he is not calling the shots? It does not make sense to me. At the moment there is lots of confusion, not just bout the Brian Howard affair but also about the future of the managment of our team. Any business needs a clear leadership, not just to ensure internal mechanisms work appropriately, but also to present to the outside world.
Cryne's not even in.......... isn't that part of the problem! we have no chaiman???? I agree that with your frustration re; Cryne He says what we want to hear.......... 1. "we will sign Box Office players"........ 2. "Significant funds for transfers have been made available"....... 3. "Brian Howard is not for Sale"...... 4. "Brian Howard is worth £10m"........ And I'm sure before appointing Davey, either he or Shep made a comment about looking for a proven manager with experience......... Lots of promises that the managment have failed to deliver..... Just imagine if they had........ 1. Ian Dowie was available when SD was appointed, and could be our manager now! 2. **** knows if he was appointed who he would have signed........... here's a pick of the players he signed during the same period whilst in charge of Coventry and QPR. COVENTRY Goalkeepers: Luke Steele (loan from WBA), Konstantopolus (free), Kasper Schmeichel (loan from Man C) Defenders: Gary Borrowdale (£400k), De Zeeuw (free), Richard Duffy (loan from Pompey) Midfield: Michael Hughes (free), Julian Gray (free), Ellery Cairo (free) Forwards: Michael Misfud (free), Leon Best (£650k) QPR Goalkeepers: Radek Cerny (free loan) Defenders: Peter Ramage (free), Casper Gorkiss (£250k), Joe Ostler (loan) Midfield: Lee Cook (loan), Ledesma (loan), Parajo (loan), Alberti (£200k) Forwards: Carmine (loan) Ok, I accept many of the QPR signings came on free transfers but will demand big wages. But the point I make is that a big name manager attracts big name players....... when you look at how little money Dowie has spent compared to SD its scandelous!
RE: Cryne's not even in.......... isn't that part of the problem! we have no chaiman???? my god someone else as realised that the god cryne is not a god,and his he really a barnsley fan.ask the shareholders of isoft what he really is.said for years i wouldnt trust him with a wheelbarrow let alone bfc.
RE: Cryne's not even in.......... isn't that part of the problem! we have no chaiman???? Thats what I'm saying Cryne being 'out' is a problem. I'm not criticising Mr. Cryne, he has done everything for the club and has never claimed to know about the business of football. If this is correct then he must get someone in who does have experience of leadership in football. At the moment he has Mr. Rowing who does have long term experience in football. However this is experienceof being an administrative manager, a person who is told what to do, not someone who is a savy businessman who has taken executive decisions and has the experience to give direction for the future. These big issues about the structure of the club must be confronted.
RE: Cryne's not even in.......... isn't that part of the problem! we have no chaiman???? ''But the point I make is that a big name manager attracts big name players....... when you look at how little money Dowie has spent compared to SD its scandalous!'' But in my opinion Coventry and QPR are bigger clubs (not just the manager) if u know what I mean! I'm sure it would be easier for Dowie to attract players to Cov/QPR than Barnsley FC.
RE: he has Mr. Rowing who does have long term experience in football I believe he has worked within football for many years. I don't know where to be honest, but I believe that is accurate. As far as I am aware he has always been in managment positions rather than business leadership/football business leadership positions. Correct me if I am wrong.
Why are they bigger clubs than Barnsley then? Maybe they were , but they certainly are not at the moment, well QPR were not until this season.
