But could've lost it too. 1-0 up, should've been 3 (although I understand Donny should have had a penalty - other side of the pitch and I didn't see it), no idea what was wrong with Cranie's header that was ruled out from the corner, didn't see anything in it all. Digby broke forward, 4 against 2, the two defenders parted, covering the passing options, leaving Digby on the 18 yard line with the goal at his mercy and chose to pass. We put the ball in the back of net, but Jennings was offside. Digby is young, he'll learn. Then in the last minute of the half Steele comes out, claims the ball, lands on top of Cranie and it bounces out of his hands. "Why didn't you ******* punch it Steele you ******* idiot" shouted a bloke behind me five minutes after shouting "Why didn't you ******* catch it Steele you ******* idiot" when he had punched it. It was gutting, the players obviously felt it too as they weren't on it when they came back out after half time and Donny were all over us for 10 minutes as they'd taken a lot of confidence from the goal. 2-1 down and you just can't believe it. But we battled back and eventually got the goal we deserved. Blame Steele if you like, some on here no doubt will, but that will ignore some of the superb saves he did pull off. As did the Donny 'keeper. Frimpong was hot and cold. He was clearly making absolutely certain he wasn't going to get sent off and I think that affected his game a bit, but he did some quality stuff too. Woods looked skilful, but tired, his corners were fantastic. The hapless Proschwitz who couldn't score in a brothel now has 3 in 4 games for us and 10 goals in 16 starts in English football. He looks the business in the box and was desperately unlucky not to get his hat-trick when their 'keeper pulled off a great save. The substitutions helped us, although I wish Paddy was given more time. O'Grady and Jennings weren't really on it today, not like they can be, but someone else stepped up and got the goals. That didn't used to to happen. We're hard to beat under Danny, we used to be a push over. Will that save us? Dunno, we definitely need some wins, but it isn't going hurt. Things went against us, we found ourselves behind, but we kept going and got back level; that will do for me. Well played Reds.
Jennings ad a average game , so did ogrady , but they av been playing well lately upto today. . Think we may need McCourt in team to give us some creativity from midfield which we are missing at moment
