Just seen the goals from Burnley. First thought was that none of our strikers would have scored the goal that Cureton scored.
In fact, we havn't had a striker that scores that type of goal for a long time. Whats the possibility of him staying to the end of the season?

    Because he scored one goal?

He was offside 99% of the time and still needs to improve for me.

RE: Because he scored one goal?

I'm not saying he is the answer to all our problems, but he does something that none of our strikers (bar Hume) does, which is run directly at the goal and shoot on target. He has got better with every game and I believe when he gets his sharpness back, which is a matter of time, he will score a few goals for us.

And i agree pal. He aint played for a while and needs time to get back into the swing of things a la de silva did

You dont just lose that goalscoring talent overnight

    Agree

Improving with every game, good movement, yes was offside a lot yesterday but thats because he plays on last defender and Burnley play the offside tactic very well

Agree with you there. I felt the keeper should have eaten the shot for his goal and Cureton must have dodgy eyes as he's incapable of reading a line. So frustrating seeing the flag go up for offside just about everytime the ball is played to him. It makes passing to him rather pointless.

If he is offside 9 times, but scores once....who's winning? Give him time, look what happened when we did that with Chopra.

You're right, you don't lose your goalscoring talent over night

But for most strikers it does start to gradually slip away from them in their early thirties.

    I guess it's the legs

But it certainly results in fewer goals. Strikers like all footballers can't go on forever.
