Brings very little to the team in terms of holding the ball up, bringing other players into the game etc BUT can undoubtedly finish. Also, is very greedy in and around the box which I like to see in a striker, his first instinct is always to have a pop. Not seen that quality in a stiker here since Chopra, and before that Andy Payton. I reckon we have to be looking to extend his loan until the end of the season. Also, yesterday was the first time I had seen Colace. Very impressed, suddenly we started picking up all the loose balls in midfield which Preston has been largely winning until his introduction.

agree with the comments about cureton, his track record proves he can score goals and it was only going to be a matter of time before it happened for him, would like to see him play alongside a proper target man (not KO) feeding off the knockdowns etc., but thought colace didn't get in the game when he came on (still a class player though).

midfield was a little over run after hassell moved to LB.

    Fully agree.

I have to say as well, that I've taken the rose-tints off as far as Macken and Leon are concerned. Straight swaps for Colace and Ritgers could make all the difference if you ask me.

once devaney is fit, him and JCR down either flank with colace and anderson in the middle is one hell of a midfield. but on present form you can't take out hassell.

it's nice to have the luxury of players of colace and souza's calibre on the bench because the players in their positions are doing so well and don't deserve to be dropped.

I really like Macken, and his goalscoring record this season is still OK, but I'm not sure whether him and Cureton are our most effective combination up front, it doesn't leave us with much pace. I thought Bobby had a stormer both in midfield and defence. The midfield is definitely better without Leon on yesterday's showing. Not without ability but not sure what he actually brings to the team as far as either creating anything or breaking up opposition attacks.

    upset a bit with leon.

when he first came he looked like a world beater, his passing and vision was good and looked like the long term solution to the impending loss of howard as attacking midfield. but now he looks disinterested, lazy and intimidated by the pace and physicality of championship football. stick him in a league say spain or italy where there is more time on the ball and he'd be a different player IMHO.
