Flicka has brought in about 8 players to improve the team from last season.
Unfortunatly for Flicka he hasn't got the mega bucks backing to go out and get ready made Championship players.
So as always he has brought players in that have potential but will need time to become fitter and more able to cope with the Championship style of play
In the mean time some of the players already at the club have hit poor form
Hence the string of bad results
So the only option open to Flicka and the club is to try and stem the tide of these poor results by bringing other players in.
These other players have got to be able to hit the ground running.......they can't be 'potential' Championship players....these players are Championship standard...........Barnsley and Flicka haven't got the time to wait for these players to come up to speed.
So its great that the club is bringing in more talented players.........the only problem being; how long is it going to take for these players to fit into the team?
Hopefully a few quality loan players will allow the other players time to regain their form........and allow the players brought in during the close season to get fitter and get to a Championship level e.g. M'Voto, Jennings, Mc'Court

Agree . Flitcroft had to either change team from within squad or bring some new players in , admittedly players are being played in wrong position and some are not getting in team that should be

On a positive note, we have players who we know aren't playing anywhere near their best, and a couple of others who we should see a lot more from (McCourt and Jennings), so we can only get better really. We just need a couple of good wins with a settled team and we'll be OK.

What's going on with Mellis this season as well? In and out of the team and not really done anything - he's always had his anonymous games but he is a match winner.

We needed quality players in key areas over the summer but didn't have the budget and its taken poor results to push us in the loan direction. This league is full of quality teams boosted by quality loan players we have to get that quality loan player to compete.

To be honest, with the players at his disposal in my opinion he has played them out of position and/or played the wrong players and tactics in the first place. Flicker must sort tactics and players/formation much better than he has
