Don't post much on here but here goes,

All this talk of sacking the manager, load of ****** in my opinion. All these people that keep saying it have short memories. Whats it going to achieve? The clubs been in this vicious circle before, go on a bad run, sack the manager, new man comes in, wants his own players, spends money, turns it around initially, goes on bad run, know it all fans want him out, gets fired, then it all starts again. Isn't this how the club ended up in the financial mess of a few years ago!! FFS.

Also who's the club going to bring in if they do sack Ritchie. They've clearly no money of any significance so what type of bloke they going to end up with. Suppose they could always approach 3 times champions league winner and football league promotion/survival specialist JohnnyCoachman. He seems to know how the team should be trained/coached (clown).

While i'm on the money situation too, do you honestly believe that Andy Ritchie wouldn't jump at the chance to sign better players and be able to work with better players if he had the opportunity. His own reputation is on the line, besides the well being of the club. IMHO i believe that money is available but its not enough to attract the better players everyone is wanting to see. Spackman and Parkin spent for the sake of it and those were the worst two seasons i've witnessed since supporting Barnsley FC. The Cryne thing that was in the Chronicle about Box Office Players was just a ploy to boost season ticket sales. Unfortunately its raised expectations of fans who actually thought that would happen too much and now this is the fall out from it.

At the start of the season, i always said i'd be happy with fourth bottom and i still maintain that. Whats happening now is pretty much what i expected to happen, we'd struggle.

Anyway at times like this supporters should do what they're supposed to, support the team/club through whatever. Leave the decisions to those in charge. Thats what they're paid to do. I'm just as upset/unhappy at the current run of results as most folk on here but lets not be hasty. We (the fans) wanted Spackman as boss when Bassett went. Shows what we know eh!!!

Roll on Setdi and hopefully 3 points against Leeds :)

    You Reds

Aww Johnny, no need to be like that.

Will you be attending training tomorrow? Maybe you could give Ritchie some pointers as to where he's going wrong.

If its beneficial to the club, i'm all for it :)

    Why not turn to scouting?

We've all now realised you're far superior on the coaching side of things, but why don't you start travelling up and down the country looking at possible signings?

You could do a documentary "Johnny C on the road" or "Simple Life goes UK".

I can see it now, we could have t-shirts made, coffee cups, car stickers, keyrings!

    Give it 6 months and you'd be invited on I'm a celebrity . . . . . . .

Kirk...........a major fault running through your argument

You say "Ritchie would jump at the chance of bringing other players in"

Well this is all, in my view, what the debate is about
Would Ritchie jump at the chance of bringing other players in ???
    We are told NOT !!!
And this is coming from the Chairman of the club
We have also got a manager that is saying 'he is going to let his players play until christmas then assess the situation'
    The buddy buddy scenario continues

So both Shep and Ritchie are both saying that Ritchie does not want any more players at this time
But in the mean time we get snippets of - we missed 2 loan players today
So one day its no players in - the next its missed players on loan
What can the ordinary fan make of this ???

There is also the big big problem of waiting to sign new players
While the waiting continues the spirit of the current team is spiraling down
Therefore when players are brought in, the confidence of the current team has evaporated and we continue to go down hill

Another consideration is this - who wants to come to a relegation club (no one)
Who wants to come to a club just promoted from Cardiff (loads)
Therefore your player options become more limited

    Spot on.

Anyone who went last night will know that the only difference between us and Derby was 2 wonder strikes from an England under 19 player and a bad miss by Richards (who had an excellent match otherwise). Yes the squad is a bit thin and we could definitely do with an experienced centre-back to marshall the defence. But money don't grow on trees, and remember, the Administrators were called in for a bank loan of only £100,000. Just get behind the lads like we did at Derby last night - we even sang for the Derby fans - they couldn't manage it themselves.

I say again. FIVE players wanted by AR this season. NONE signed

Do't buy that AR does not want new players.

    Wrong..

the administartors WERE NOT called in for a loan of £100k. They were called in because the bank asked the club NOT to use it's overdraft facility, effectively killing cash flow.

This came after discussions with an unknown party fell apart

Kirk ! we all want whats best for BFC......................

We're 2nd bottom, with no signs of improvement, did you go against Coventry? piss poor, I haven't missed at home this season, but I will find something better to do this week, if Leeds beat us, and it's a real possibilty, then you Kirk will be the minority, and something will have to change, it's early November and we look doomed to playing in that Mickey Mouse league again next year, I can't remember the last time, even under the stewardship of Dennis, when a manager and board can't see the problems we see.
After each defeat this year, Ritchie moans and groans, says we will work harder in training, well, they obviously don't, 70 mins and we fall to bits, bad coaching? of course it is, his blind faith in a certain T Wright pretty much sums the guy up, look at the goals against column, it's laughable.
We had momentum after Cardiff, thats now evaporated, if you want a management model, I suggest you look at the lad at Colchester, his players are not world beaters, but, they are fit, and understand the work ethic.
