Who is your current favourite player in this seasons squad & why?

I will say Luca Connell (obviously)

No words could possibly explain how good he is. He makes every thing look so easy.

 

When he went pass 3 players on Saturday, ball never got away ,it reminded me on Glavin when no one could get near the ball.
If only he could go on and on like Glavin.

 

Met Luca on Saturday on Dad's big day out, top lad! our future captain without doubt.

 

Mael deG.
After a nightmare debut, he's given his all to become a worthy No.6 replacement & already seems to love our club to the point where he'd compete with Mads for shedding tears on departure
It's clear his natural instinct is to move forward in attack & I love his marauding runs forward (always entertaining regardless of outcome).
On Saturday, he showed great technique with a couple of incisive passes to feet through the middle (we don't see enough of that) and the assist for our opener was sublime.
On top of that, I'm sure there's more goals to come on the goals front.
Simply put, he's Mael the maginique!

 

Most important player in our side is Kane. Holds it all together, not fancy, but we don’t play well without him.

 

I think Connell is far and away the best player in our squad. Roberts is a fantastic keeper though, and Devante Cole has had a great season. McAtee has also developed into a key player in the team. I like watching Connell play the most though, although he wasn’t great on Saturday, so I guess he’s my favourite, albeit not up to Redders/Futch/Clive Baker/Brian Joicey level in my affections just yet. I have a feeling this lad we’ve signed from Fleetwood (I have got so bad at remembering names that I am thinking of running for President in the States) will develop into a favourite too.

 

I haven’t really got one. I’d say Cadden, Kane, Connell & Roberts are players I like but there’s no one standout.

John McAtee

 

Luca is the standout, but has had a fair few injury worries this season.

Cole has been superb, as has Roberts & Mael. Anyone in a Reds shirt is gonna get my support though.

Should have been made captain for this season for me.

No criticism of Williams implied by the way, he handled the Connell red card on saturday very well, by getting between the ref and other players who might have also been in danger of a card or two.

 

Luca for me. Special mentions for Roberts and Cole. (Hope we can get em both signed up for next season.) I like the look of Earl (fitted in brilliantly). But we are starting to improve and gel as a team that's the most important thing.
Still need to sort out RCB/RWB. Get that right and who knows what can happen.

 

We play even worse without Connell mate.

 

Connell is by far the best player and possibly the best player in the league.

Cole has really upped his work rate and is getting rewards for it. Still wish it was him and Norwood though, they'd rip this league apart.

McAtee never stops running. Just wish we would play him in midfield.

Cadden is such a professional. He never has a bad game, ineffective sometimes but never an howler.

Roberts. Fantastic shot stopper. Up there with Isted for me.

Love Barry Cotter too. Always runs, never hides from the ball. His ability and current level is a different issue for me, in terms of liking him I can't fault him he tries so hard. If others put the effort in that he does we'd be top of the league.

Honourable mention for Williams. Having an absolutely awful season but it's not his fault at all. He's been well and truly thrown under the bus. Needs captaincy taking off him and moving to right back.

To be fair connells a quality player but he's only featured in 12 games all season.

Don't really have a standout favourite. Connells a class act but has featured in less than half of our games this season so we aren't a 1 man team although I'd definitely rather have him starting.
Coles had another good season where he looks to finish top scorer for 2nd season in a row.
I like kane on his day a quality player. I also like Phillips and he's getting back to the form of last season.
The 2 loanees we have with macatee and Roberts are good and hopefully we keep them if we go up.
Plenty of good players in this squad no reason why we can go one step further than last season.
