Ordered something online on the Currys website as a Christmas gift for a member of my family. Seriously people. Don't order from there! I am getting, on a daily basis messages "Buy now, guaranteed delivery tomorrow", yet the order I placed on 27 Nov is lost in the ether. Delivery date was 5 Dec. Nothing. Tracking system gives no info. No amount of phonecalls, e mails are working. I'm pretty sure it's not arriving, and I will have to buy a duplicate elsewhere, and argue about it with Currys later. Having read the reviews though, there is a long list of people in the same boat. Looks as though they have bitten off more they can chew with the Black Friday thing. Customer Service is the worst I have experienced - well, I haven't really experienced any, I can't get anywhere. Be warned. Don't go there!!
I ordered something, from Currys/PC World, on Black Friday, and collected it the same day. Just saying.
I'm sure that's the case for lots of people. Isn't that the way it should be though? There are hundreds of people (just google Currys reviews) currently waiting for orders, none the wiser as to when they will arrive.
I ordered a curry that particular Friday..as we do most Fridays..delivered promptly, piping hot and delicious.
Email the head of the company you'll get more luck. Especially if you cc watchdog in as well even if you have no intention of them reading it
Amazon is no better. In past two weeks I've had 2 'lost in transit'. Up to now, my Amazon prime has been re-credited for 2 months in a row. I've had a £5 good will gesture credit and a 15% refund (£26) on an item they don't have stock for and I've now ordered form John Lewis. Workmates had an Amazon order lost, refunded and then delivered 3 times. Last Christmas (Black Friday) I got the lad and Xbox One for Christmas from Amazon. Only when he opened it up Christmas morning, it was a 2nd hand return. Full of fingerprints, scratches. All the packaging had been opened. It had someone elses profile (and linked credit card) on and even a game disc inside. Guess who was on to Amazon support last Christmas day. Upshot of that, I got a new one shipped out 2 days later and I returned the other one, minus the game Starting to thing, shopping in the high street where you can buy your goods and walk out with them in your hand, is the way to go.
Richer Sounds, black Friday, in and out within 20 minutes, new telly, good price and free 6 year warranty - can't go wrong (assuming they've got what you want).
I had same scenario with Amazon last year as I dropped on the cheap price for a TV, after I had purchased it went up in price and they sold more, hence why I was put last in the list for delivery, they were hoping I would cancel or exchange, but I sat right, 3 weeks!
