Saw the film on Friday ... every review I've reas has utterly panned it. I quite liked it. Not earth shatteringly brilliant but at least there was something of a plot to it as opposed to lots of explosions. Not read the book though so can't compare with that.
Read the book a while back and it was superb, would recomend it. I enjoyed the film. Was expecting it to be rubbish after the reviews. As with all books that are turned into films it missed some bits out, but who would want to sit through 10 hours of film very time they went to the cinema!
I read the book ages ago and went to see the film last week. I thought it was really good, don't see what the problem is with most people.
