    You're thinking of the daddy longlegs spider (Pholcus phalangioides), I was refering to the cranefly otherwise known as daddy longlegs (Tipula paludosa).

    An easy mistake to make.

    I heard that too.

    It's allegedly got spacky soft teeth - so cannot inject it's love juice, sorry, venom into anyone.

    For all I know though - it could be a right bag of ballax.

    Actually - now I think about it :

    It may be the daddy longlegs spider (Pholcus phalangioides), not daddy longlegs (Tipula paludosa).

    I'm glad I remembered that.
