I see we've changed the name of ISIS, is it because now there is no reference at all to Islam? So no need for anyone to speak out against, or condemn. ?
Bit like the WW2 change in history, How we never fought the Germans anymore but the Nazis.... only subtle, but brainwashing all the same

ISIS hate being referred to as DAESH.
DAESH is a translation of the Arabic acronym formed from same words that make up ISIS in English. However it can also mean bigot, or is very similar to bigot in Arabic or so I understand.

It seems they have threatened to cut out the tongue of anybody who uses the word.

We are not fighting Islam. It is important to make that distinction. ISIL want to turn the moderate Muslim world against us, one tactic is to bomb Western targets , watch the locals go all anti muslim, make the innocent feel alienated and targeted and turn against us. When the west bomb more innocent Muslims in the middle east (some will be civilians) this will actually increasing the numbers of ISIL subscribers and play right into ISIL's hands. If you witnessed indiscriminate extermination of family members or all you family wouldn't you feel the same against the perpetrators ?

The UK doesn't have any spare capacity to bomb more targets, was it 2-4 aircraft available, in the grand scheme of things its a token gesture. If as a poster says the US take out a RAF jet in error that will account for a large proportion of our effort gone.

I don't have the answers but the answers lie in with aligning the west and the Muslim states AND Russia against the common enemy that threatens us all. They may claim to represent the Muslim world but they dont. When they blow up Paris, they target everyone regardless of faith and its an attack on civilisation.

To make this into an Islam against the West is very dangerous and doesnt actually represent the truth. I'm all for Deash if it meets this aim.

Absolutely. I'm no lover of Islam or any religion for that matter but the last thing we want is to drive ordinary Muslims into the hands of Daesh.
