From the first second he ran about like a loony. Never stopped. We decide to sub him with a few minutes left. To give him a breather, to let the crowd show their appreciation, to let Rose have a few more minutes of experience and also to run the clock down a bit. Any other professional footballer would have done the long slow walk to the dugout as they savoured the standing ovation. Dagnall sprinted off. Wouldn't be surprised if he ran home.

    Nutter, but well played lad.

He was excellent tonight and has been the last few games. It looks like 2013 is going to be at the opposite end of the spectrum to 2012 for him. Long may it continue :)

Lol. Brilliant tonight. I think I would have given him MOTM if I'd have been choosing. It was a tough choice tonight though and Jim was brilliant also!

Just before the first goal, O'Brien chased everything and , I think, inspired the whole team.

To a man they were excellent. We have come to expect gut busting performances from Jim, Daggers and Perks but to me the revelation was Kelvin Etuhu. His touch, pace and passing were outstanding tonight. He linked everything up and allowed the others to play, some great runs forward too. Very composed and a proper team player. For 90 minutes I didn't even think about Steve Dawson, which is a decent compliment. Another dead man, Tom Kennedy deserves a mention, I think a lot of people had his bags packed n'all.

If I'm very honest, I thought Danny Rose was a bit of a prat when he came on and was lucky to leave the pitch in one piece. Sounds harsh, but the game was won and it was all a bit unnecessary.

That run by Dagnall from the edge of our own area, when he never stopped chasing; followed by O Brien's non stop running that ended in the first goal .... that's the Barnsley I know and love. Absolutely brilliant. Goal out of sheer endeavour. Love it.

He's a top professional who always gives 100%. I'm so pleased that his hard work is now paying off for him and he's getting his goals. He deserves all the plaudits he's receiving right now. Well done Chris, keep it up fella.

    Ditto.

I did always wonder what would happen if he got an Oakwell goal & whether he'd kick on, but I didn't really expect him to. Humble pie eaten.
