Think he's at Gillingham until the end of the season. From our official site on 20th March: BARNSLEY youngster Dale Tonge has now completed a one-month emergency loan to League One side Gillingham. The 21-year-old Academy graduate's switch is the first move in or out of Oakwell ahead of Thursday's loan deadline. The midfielder, who has been out of favour at Oakwell, has signed for the Gills initially until April 21, 2007. Dale has come up through the ranks at Barnsley Football Club and has made 55 first team appearances.
Also he's no longer listed as no. 19 on our squad list out on loan or otherwise, but he is listed on Gillingham squad list as no. 26 but it doesn't say on loan from Barnsley.
Won't play for Barnsley FC again whilst Davey is here, even if we only had 2 fit defenders........... That's how deep the problem is!!!!!
Can't go into too much detail on the matter, basically because what we've been told on the matter BUT it goes back to the Ritchie and Holden sackings! When Dale leaves im sure certain people close to him won't hold back.
In the words of a certain past Chairman "There`s a Story to be Told" Dale has no future at Oakwell and he is playing down at Gillingham to put himself in the shop window. Fair to say tho` he and Davey dont see eye to eye on certain matters
Problems or not. Fact is we need him back at the club. No time for petty grudges. Football matches to win.
funny... i heard almost exactly the same about kay. That he would never play for BFC again. That was from a very good source too
Big difference between what happened with Kay and Tonge, the latter standing is ground on the matter.
