Will be a very good player in a few years, we've got him a couple of years too early, he's not ready for mesters football.

He's definitely got talent but I'm not sure we're the right side or in the right division to showcase the ability of a young Arsenal starlet. In a few years I reckon he'll be an established premier league player.

    I think he's a bit naive myself.

I think he expected this league to be a piece of piss compared to the the modern day development leagues. Theres no doubt he will be a future star though.

He's got unbelievable talent. The kid is 17 he's bound to have a lot to learn.

I'd be very suprised if he didn't get England caps.

Unbelievable technique & will be an unreal laiker.

Absolutely pointless for this league, IMHO.

Will be a star in the future but not the brute we need in midfield to toughen us up in the Alehouse League.
All the loanees can depart for me

A completely pointless loan signing. He shows raw ability but so did Danny rose and noble Lazarus amongst many others. Has been signed purely because of his reputation and who he plays for and not because of what he can, in a really short space of time with no hope of making it permanent, do for us.

Probably go on to be a really good player like many of our other poor loans over the years. At the moment though he doesn't look at all up for mans football. Too easily bullied off the ball by older heads.

And here rests the issue of our loans policy. The likes of him and Pearson to a lesser degree (certanly last season), are not ready for L1 football, and are certainly not at the stage of their development to contribute fully to us being a good side in this division.

So in effect, all we are doing is providing a learning platform for someone elses players, who will then take the benefit of their time with us to become a real talent back at their own clubs, or become a 'saleable asset' for their own clubs.

It's puddled thinking from the BFC decision makers and a contributory factor to our demise in the 3rd division.

I've little doubt that Crowley will become a star in the Premier League and quite possibly for England. I believe Pearson will have a top Championship/lower Prem career too. They just aren't ready to benefit Barnsley FC at the moment.

Very much my thinking too Mike

What I dislike most is we seem very keen to play others peoples kids that don't really improve our side but don't quite seem to have faith to try our own.

RNL, Rose, Digby, Abbott.... if given 20-30 games like we've given Pearson... would they be much worse, much better? We don't know as they never get the chance.

As for Crowley, a technically gifted 17 yr old who i think will have a very good career... but at this stage he isn't yet aware what the point of a football game is.

Knows he is probably the most talented player in the squad and as a result, tries to do too much. Why he thinks it's a good idea to try and dribble the ball out from the centre half position (safe zone) I'll never know - has lost it pretty much every time.

Bags of talent. Whether he ever becomes a complete player & can be effective in a team is something that'll be found out a few years from now.

Should he be here learning alongside a bunch of other kids? Not for me. Surprised Arsenal loaned him here. If I was Wenger I would've wanted him playing for an experienced manager alongside some experienced pros who can develop him

For 18 year old, he's a very promising player. But I can't say I've seen enough in him that convinces me he's going to be a top player for club or country, as others seem sure of. He's got no left foot, at all. And he plays with his head down. I'm sure he can work on the latter, but if at 18 you're that one-footed, you always will be. I can't ever understand players like that who've been at clubs since 6 and 7 year old, yet can't use their weaker foot.

He lacks in many areas, but has some exciting qualities that are rare in young English lads, or coached out of them. However, at 18 the truly best players, your stars if you like, they're already regulars at their club and/or internationals.

Without Hourihane though right now, and still no Williams, he has to start for me. And, start to show why he's so highly rated by many. I remember Jack Grealish a couple of seasons ago ripping this division up, then stepping up in the Prem for Villa. Bit different doing that at Arsenal of course, but Wenger's probably one of the most likely managers in terms of giving kids a go.

With a Bobby Hassell figure in midfield, a guide/mentor, I reckon he'd thrive sooner, like Stonesy did with Bobby's help.

Future England player and Premiership star.

Shouldn't be loaned out to League 1.

He'll be another Paddy McCourt , fantastic talent but not a team player.
