    I did.

What do YOU disagree with Dan about. Or are you going to ask me to cut and paste?

'Or are you going to ask me to cut and paste?' .....What do you mean by that ?.... but just to clarify, what part of 'I agree with Billy ' isn't clear enough

Well all you said was " I agree with Billy" yet Dan Jarvis's article ran on for quite a while.

So you disagree with every part of what Dan Jarvis wrote?

You sound a bit Cameron/Brown "I agree with Dave".

    But sorry for taking issue....

By the way I am a big Billy Bragg music fan

His politics are sometimes sound but not always.

Billy Bragg was making a point that Jarvis should have more important issues to brief journalists about, that affect his constituents, than the renewal of Trident and Unillateral Disarmament and his dislike of Corbyn.
'Or are you going to ask me to cut and paste?' ....explain

I meant do I need to cut and paste Dan Jarvis's article.

Then pick out what you disagree with.

So.........it's specifically getting rid of the nukes and slagging off JC that you agree with Billy about. Fair enough.

I'm a Barnsley voter. Should I not care about nukes? Cos I do.

If it's not so important to the country, why are Labour's knickers knotted about it?

I put a lot more faith in a decorated para on matters of defence than an OAP lefty MP whose only just found out life exists outside Islington and a lefty musician who exists to protest. Corbyn stands as much chance of being elected PM as the bloke leading the BNP none and the quicker the membership of the Labour party wakes up and smell the coffee the better for us real working class folk. This town suffered under Thatcher and Major because pillocks like Corbyn got hold of Labour in the 70s and 80s and made it unelectable for nearly 2 decades. I wish MPs like Jarvis and Dugher would get together with others and boot Corbyn into touch.

Why is Dan getting his knickers in a twist about it, unilateral disarmament isn't Labour policy ,in fact they renewed their commitment to renew trident at the last party conference

a party lead by Corbyn, that involves the likes of LIvingstone, Abbott and Thornberry will be working towards it. If Jezza keeps it up he Tories will walk the next election with a huge majority.

Jarvis is a Neo Tory **** like Tony Bliar

If this country is gonna change he won't be at the forefront.

We are mourning today a guy who was. A bisexual, black music & in every way non conformist. The world needs people like that, not Dan Jarvis.

Dan Jarvis is a gutless turd. Barnsley, let alone the country, would be better off without gravy train passengers like him

Perfect summary of where we are. Will not suit some of the dreamers on here though.

Imho jarvis is just a Blair clone. Has all the right sound bites for whatever the issue of the moment is, I've met him on several occasions in my previous work setting and he came across as someone as I have described. Not much on action but full of rhetoric. If he really wants to help this community he serves why is he not already doing something about it?
He had the chance to run for the leadership of the party he says he represents but what did he do? Went into hiding ...
Does he really represent the actual people of barnsley? How can be? He's not from this area, hasn't grown up with what's happened here over the last 3-4 decades, he can only scratch the surface. He may have served in HM Forces but as an officer, again as many will know on here, far removed from the real world.
Remember he was chosen to represent this constituency by a rule Blair brought in, not as it used to be done in the past. (Although thank the Lord we didn't get Houghton chosen as we would have seen the town run down even more than we have as he sucked up to the tories)

In the future we need someone from this community to represent the folk of this community and actually do something positive for them and the town itself ...
