According to a report by football insider Dane Murphy & club secretary Taymour Roushdi have resigned & are going to Forest coupled with the news about Val & West Brom, then this could initially throw the club into turmoil , we will have to watch this space for developments , lets hope it is wrong
How reliable a source are they https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...ts-to-agree-terms-with-nottingham-forest/?amp
Surely Danes link is with Conway and Lee not Barnsley or Forest. Id imagine he would stick with his billionaire mate.
Not bothered about him leaving? I think he's really grown into the role and has been great over the last season. I hope he stays.
This is the nature of the club now. Revolving door. You just have to get used to it and trust that the owners know what they are doing.
We all knew everything would unravel. The next step is offers coming in for players, particularly Helik & Styles
Wasn’t it ever thus. I only hope that both Val and Dane will realise that both WBA and Forest will expect instant gratification in return for the big bugs. Equally it will be interesting to see if our owners are prepared to put up a fight to retain them, particularly with the whiff of success still in air.
Weren't we a bit like that with Stendel? Not sure we're any more loyal as a club under these owners than any othet, mainly because we haven't had a manager stay much beyond a season.
I'd imagine that that could only be done by offering them what Forest and WBA have offered them, respectively. That would presumably mean doubling (at least) their wages, which the owners may be reluctant to do! As a mischievous aside, wouldn't the compo nicely make up for what is owed to the Crynes?
I like Dane but I would be surprised if he's got the ability to leave his role immediately and within a transfer window. On a personal note - and I've got no evidence - but I feel there is a correlation between the club progressing and the CEO being established. The periods between Mansford & Ganaye and Ganaye & Dane haven't been the best in term of transfer activity and that is a worry to me. It might be the case the club has another CEO identified that can come in straight away (Ganaye again?) but losing the CEO worries me more than losing the manager. I know that's a crazy thing to say - especially after last season's efforts - but I feel the Dane played a major role in that success (i.e identifying the manager, the subsequent relationship with the manager and how we conducted ourselves during the transfer window - our incomings and not selling Mowatt).
https://www.footballinsider247.com/...-posts-to-agree-terms-with-nottingham-forest/ I think we can trust the story because from what I quoted we know how our club have a history of leaking stuff to sections of the press before they let us fans know anything. I like Dane but we shouldn't lose sleep over a CEO changing. People were upset when Mansford let and that worked out. People on here were all upset when Ganaye left and we did alright didn't we? This isn't a case of selling Woodrow, the owners banking the cash and then instead of buying a replacement we start next season with Miller up front every game.
Forest fans seem pleased. For years they have over spent on wages and transfer fees on older players with a reputation so are hoping more for our approach of young players that go under the radar. The way we are run as a club we have probably had a short list of a dozen names as the next possible CEO from the moment Dane came through the door. The past few years we do seem much more on it when making new appointments. If indeed it's announced he's gone (Monday?) then I suspect the replacement would be in within a fortnight after that so by July 5th.
