Of course it's frustrating BUT...

Make sure this sort of thing acts as a spur to Daniel for next season.

If 35 goals won't win him the award, make him get 40 next season.

That's the way to make him think, turn it into a positive.

Winning awards is great, but it sometimes can have an adverse effect on a player, especially a young one.

If he's being scouted by Liverpool, that says enough for me, it's far more important than any fixed awards ceremony.

Awwwww come on, be strong for him. The most important people in his footballing career are you and his Dad.

He needs you to be strong for him and help him overcome any adversity and knock-backs.

It's all about enjoyment at that age

Trophies and awards are all well and good, but it's the enthusiasm and that he enjoys playing that is important.

Don't think not winning anything at 6 year old is a problem, sounds like a goal raker anyway, the idle little oik!

I just think winning things at an early age is not that crucial. Knocks, loving the sport, getting encouragement etc are more important. You sound like good parents so it shouldn't be a problem.
