Daniel won an award for our promotion season which was presented to him last night in Manchester. It's on his Facebook page. He absolutely loves it, what a guy this man is!
Was in Edinburgh earlier today according to a mate. Be interesting to see if he fares any better than Heckingbottom in the Scottish capital.
He will. He is a talented manager. Will be a stepping stone rather than the sinking stone that came before him.
The post has been up about half an hour and aready has over 800 likes. Regardless of how things ended, I hope our owners will see this and realise that emotion plays a part in football too. Read some of the comments. It's not too late.
They have realised it- that’s why they are making GS (nothing against him) artificially recreate the DS - fan relationship by sending him darn the local boozers
Weird isn't it? Just when you think you've almost moved on, that strange mixture of anger and sadness returns. I really hope the board can read the multitude of comments and over 1000 likes now.
I loved pretty much most of Daniel Stendel's time at the club and will be forever grateful. I do not though harbour some hope of a return and instead will wish him well and watch his career with a keen eye hoping he gives other fans the moments he gave us. I support Barnsley FC and right now we have a manager who needs our support and that's Gerhard Struber.
https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman....-stendel-over-managers-job-tynecastle-1321697 So our owners have to pay off Daniel for him to probably get the Hearts job. That's not going to happen.
Fully deserved. True testimony to the season we had under his custodianship. His acceptance speech infers he could well continue in English football presumably when his dispute with us, is settled one way or the other. Whatever the outcome with that and the Joey Barton affair, I wish him nothing but the best for the future.
There's not many that have the inclination to be with the fans like Daniel does. Can't be recreated because it s sincere.
Papers tipping Pochettino to Man Utd if OGS can't consistently win games and David Moyes back at Everton when the axe inevitably falls on Silva. Everton fans were booing and a lot left the ground when 18th placed club Norwich scored their second at Goodison on Saturday. The Everton board won't tolerate that for much longer.
Hearts have made their move to convince Daniel Stendel to be their next manager having held talks with the former Barnsley boss at the weekend, though the German is said to prefer managing in England. (Scottish Sun) But Stendel is also reported to be on gardening leave at Barnsley, which would require Hearts to pay the English Championship club a six-figure sum for his services (Edinburgh Evening News) So despite our owners not wanting him, they appear to be still paying him and expect money for a manager they didn't want. They get better and better. Just when I was getting used to the new man, I'm plunged back into dark thoughts about it all.
It seems more like they're punishing him', normal business practice would be to get him off their books asap and for as little money as they can ie. A negotiated settlement.
