Danny Blanchflower could be talking about BFC under Stendel

If ever a quote fits our season, this is it:

"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

We have had a truly memorable season, with a wonderful head coach and backroom team, and a team that can now be associated with some of our finest ever. Days like this are valued so much more when you support a "team like Barnsley", the ups feel so sweet after the downs. We've done it by going out to beat the other teams, with a style that Daniel Stendel has engrained in the players and in the supporters.

I'm going to savour this for quite a while, not worry about what next season will bring, who we need to bring in etc. Let's have a final go at the title and enjoy the summer.

Congratulations to Luton, but huge congratulations to everyone at Barnsley FC. Roll on 2019/20.
