Had to start a new thread due to the bbs playing silly beggars and refusing to allow me to reply to the thread already live.
    Anyroad...
I have it on as good as authority as poss, that Mr Haynes went for a scan the same time as another of our wide players.. so unless it was a ruse to back up their elaborate plans, then Im pretty confident that the lad was injured.
He is also, allegedly set to return this week (Cardiff probably).
But come on people, do you really believe that our club would CHOOSE to do without 1 of our few strikers during an injury crisis?? That theyd fabricate an injury and get away with it?
That would damage the players morale (a player Keith rates highly), damage our clubs reputation with other players/clubs/agents, and make no sense with regards to his 'value' to the club.
If - and its a big if - Keith didnt like Haynes for whatever reason, do you actually think he would lie to the fans and media etc, and allow the lad to get paid handsomely for twiddling his thumbs??
IMO, that wouldnt fit within the framework of a club so strapped for cash that theyre bleeding fans dry to survive. Id expect that IF the player/manager relationship WAS strained, or beyond repair, Danny Haynes, a player coveted by others would have been made available for loan with a view to a permanent switch in January.
But like anyone else, these are just my views. Maybe your rumours are bang on. But for all the reasons outlined above Id be amazed.
And finally, I find it quite amusing that said rumours (weeks old apparently) have only been shared ere TODAY. The day after we lost, and didnt score...

    For your info

I was told it last night by someone who had been told it on Wednesday. And at no point was it intended to relate to yesterday's performance which I didn't see and haven't commented on.

And... If you believe that sort of thing doesn't go off in football on a regular basis, you are even more naive than I first thought

I believe it does go on mate but I'm with whitey on this one, I can't imagine that hill refusing to play him especially with us having such a small injury ravaged squad, but hey I suppose anything is possible

I think it's entirely believable that hill could do that to any player not towing the line, regardless of the injury list. If you think about it, he has to. Otherwise the players would rule the roost with their tantrums and dummy tossing.

I agree that hill would and should make such a stance against any player who spits his dummy out but can we be sure Haynes as got the tittylip on or is it all just rumour and the lad isn't genuinely injured?

we had this debate at beginning of season.in my opinion haynes has had plenty of chances to leave oakwell if that was his desire, he's chosen not to. and as has been said don't think he would be left out of squad for spite hill would've played him if he'd been fit no question.

    Re: For your info

I just trust the player who went for a scan WITH Haynes thats all mate.
I dont doubt you heard a rumour, and I dont doubt that things like that go off in football, but for all the reasons I gave in my original post, I just doubt that this would happen in the current climate at BFC.
If that makes me naive, then so be it.
Any chance of you answering my points pal, and debating them rather than questioning my common sense?
