The decision to send Danny Rose out on loan to Bury looks increasingly bizarre... We have failed to score in the last 2 home games and look completely devoid of attacking ideas. Pumping long balls up to O'Grady would have some purpose if there was anyone with any pace up there with him, but Pedersen is permanently injured so we put Mellis or Cywka up there who are utterly useless in the role. At least Danny Rose has the pace to get in behind defenders - he really wound Shackell up last season and has the ability to nick a goal or two - so why is he out on loan? We need goals and have no real support for O'Grady at all, as the big German looks useless and not prepared to put a shift in and is pretty much the same type of player and we end up putting midfielders up there who offer no threat at all... When RNL came on I thought he'd at least play him up top, but he shoves Cywka up there! Don't get me started on Woods and Dawson, surely the worst central midfield pairing in Championship history... Dawson in ten yards of space on the right edge of their penalty area completely fluffs his cross and chips into the keeper's hands! Jeez, that was the moment I knew for sure that League One is a certainty. Apart from the goal the back four looked solid though with big Jean again impressing.
Didn't look bizarre after scoring 7 in 2 away games. Just a wild guess that either that's his level or the manager thinks he needs full games wi Misters after a disrupted season
Fair enough, but we're not exactly brimming over with strikers are we? Surely it's worth keeping him in the squad, especially when Pedersen is so injury prone...?
in hindsight was a strange decision . is none of our other young strikers worth a place on bench too , considering how prosiwich has played last few times
We even has big John up front come the end of the game. I just can't get my head round how we're managing to score away from home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We missed the midfield quality that Lawrence has brought recently. The draw with Brighton was a good result.
We got rid of another striker in January, who just might have added something if only from the bench. A proven goalscorer who despite his age and fitness slowing him down a little, could create a chance out of nothing and even had a decent goalscoring record for us. Jason Scotland How we are crying out for a striker of his ilk now.
