Half the squad is Danny's and these are the ones that get most stick. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The clubs been screwed for years. Can't defend, can't win away from home, can't come back to win once behind. Danny was a mistake and so were the other 2 before him. Players with pride (except for a few) and players who are not picked for whatever reason. I look at other teams in our division and can't fathom how they are so far above us. This isn't out of disrespect for them but clubs like Bournemouth, regardless of having a bit of a backer and the fowls from S6 do not have better players than we do but they sure as he'll want to out in a display. Rotten to the core I'm afraid. None if the management should be here next season and very few if the players. When we start in league one it should be a fresh outlook with passionate people. Well and truly hacked off with it all
This is nothing to do with Danny. The remaining Hillcroft faction are toxic in terms of ability and attitude. Danny would very much be the right man to rebuild but you just know it will be handed to Micky as the cheap option (and he's part of the aforementioned faction). In fact I think it's the only reason he was kept on. Mr Cryne has not looked after his investment, I fear. And just as an aside, do we EVER get anything when Derrick Parker is co-commentating?
When Danny was appointed there were many people, and I include myself, that said that whatever happens, he should be in charge next season. I stand by that totally. Of course it has been bloody disappointing since he came in, but it has been bloody awful all season and, with limited scope to change things in the short term, it was always gonna be difficult for him to come in and turn it around immediately. He has the chance to bring a few in and ship a few out but he cant build a team in a few weeks. In the meantime, he is desperately trying to find something that works amidst the crock of **** he has to work with and with time rapidly running out. He was on a hiding to nothing. I am firmly of the opinion that we have a manager who is as good as anybody else who will be working at that level when we go down, and is as good as we can hope to get. I 100% stand by my statement when he was appointed that he should be given the job for the medium to long term. If he is not here next season, after being branded a failure after 5 months on the basis that he couldnt keep a sinking side in the championship then I will truly fecking despair of the short termism of both our clubs management and our fans. In fact if he isnt here next season I would be sorely tempted to tell the club to stick their season ticket renewal form up their arse.
The only chance of me renewing is if Wilson is given a three year contract and carte Blanche to build the club as he sees fit. Anything else and they can ********
