No tactical awareness. No motivational skills. No bottle in making big decisions - Example, dropping a fan favorite striker or dropping 'his' striker to play a formation which suits the squad we have. No ability to read the path of a game, and change team shape/personnel accordingly. No imagination in terms of starting formation, team selection or game changing substitutions. No real plan, other than to play a traditional 4-4-2 and hope the other team just doesn't turn up. Poor decision making, one which I was expect from an inexperienced manager. Examples, playing an injured Mclaughin at Wigan, playing Etuhu on the right wing, persisting with Kennedy, persisting with the 4-4-2, persisting with Brek Shea and making other like for like substitutions which actually make the team worse. He has done a few things right, such as improve the overall quality of the squad. However he is completely failing in turning this added quality into results. For me that is purely down to the decisions he has made as manager.
So would you get rid of him? Who would you replace him with? How long are you going to give the new man before you start posting your forensic analysis to prove he's not good enough - 2 months?
My main worry thus far is the decision not to sign a left back or at least promote our u21 left back to the senior squad. At the very least Kennedy needed some competition. Week after week opposition teams isolate him as the weak link in our defence and they can't all be wrong. It seems to me that Danny doesn't particularly trust the players he's inherited to play his favoured system which was always a fluid 5-3-2 or 3--5-2 so is playing it safe this is disappointing. I'd rather us go for it and see what happens.
As much as i hate to admit it, id agree with that Chris. Some will argue the points per game ratio has improved, my reply would be to check the table and see where we are ie. rock bottom. The early 2 month report would say - some signs of improvement, but must be braver in decision making and tactical awareness.
What exactly are you wanting me to expand upon? I've been to almost every game under Wilson and I feel I've given a fair summary of what I've seen so far. I'm not calling for Wilson to be sacked. Its in the best interest of the club to get some stability and keep him next season. I'm just saying I feel so far he has made very poor decisions.
I've added my comments to yours in the original post. Not very clear mind but the things you're slating him for are things that, in my opinion, he's done plenty.
That in my book is a fair assessment of Wilson. I'm fully behind him still in our efforts to avoid relegation but its questionable if he is the man to lead us if we are relegated.
Said it before not everyone's cup of tea but at least there would be some fight with the teams he selects. NEIL WARNOCK. Never wanted Wilson just another cheap option. Because he once did a job for use doesn't mean he can do it again. Mr WARNOCK in a heart beat. At least if we go down we will go down fighting not whimpering, if he's good enough for little old leed & qpr and the likes barnsley should be ideal for him.
Re: so you hardly would remember Wilson here before then ? What Wilson did when I was 5/6 has nothing to do with my assessment on what I have seen of him so far this season.
2-0 down at half time and being overrun in centre midfield. Yet he keeps the side the same and brings on Shea as his first sub He should have have said sorry to the 1,973 fans that went for the unacceptable performance.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. & Wrong. What a complete and utter load of old ********. He inherited a team low on confidence, Do you know what I can't even be bothered to reply to you. Just get ****ing behind Danny & the team and do you know what, We might just get out of the mess. Keep on slagging Danny & the team off and we won't. In Danny we Trust.
