If anyone thinks he going to sort us put and buy the right players next season there deluded. Done nothing in 17 years as a manager so why is it going to change now. Too set in his ways. Want nothing more than to bounce back next season. But we don't have the right atmosphere in the ground or crowds to do what Southampton, Wolves and Norwich did.
He will be given a chance to sort it but I have Major doubts as to whether he will be successful. We will do well to avoid another relegation battle next season.
Agree. We just don't have it in us. Well in my opinion we don't. Heard too many bad things about him from fans of other clubs since he left us for bigger and better things. The way we have gone down with less intent and fight than Audley Harrison, shows just how much he can get players up for things. And the lack of fight is what worries me.
Just saw us go from a side who played ok, not all the time but played decent early in the season. Few bad decisions cost us a good few points as well as own goals. Under Flicker in most games you can pick a moment where a decision or Wiseman mistake cost us. But in comes Wilson and apart from Wednesday away and the free kick which was never a free kick against Ipswich for there 2nd. Apart from those I can't think of a time were we were unlucky or hard done by. Was all too easy for whoever we played.
Give it a rest now. You are deluded if you think we were better under Flircroft. The points gained show we were much worse.
Like what other fans say is a guide, based on what we say Keith Hill would never have got even a Sunday league job, (IMHO rightly so for what he did to us) and the fight had gone out of us long time since there's some serious pruning needed there before we can start to go forwards again
Course we were better. We tried to win games, a few harsh decisions went against us. Under Wilson I can't think of a game where we were unlucky. Saw some intent in our play, ok not all the time but we just never got the breaks. I've never ever heard the rule that Redstars opinion is the only opinion.
Absolutely. Team under Flicker was a house of cards. Weak and leaked goals. Utter tripe. Danny turned a useless team into a slightly improved useless team. Just not enough quality. He's our manager next year. And he'll get us to playoffs or higher. That's my thoughts any way. Others will disagree.
We are not a city unlike norwich southampton and wolves to generate those sorts of crowds abd donny bounced straight back last year atmosphere is crap there and poor crowds. Who would you like to see as manager??
Not sure what population, Barnsley Is bigger than Norwich, also around the same as Southampton and Wolverhampton. All I know is under Danny it's going one way and that's down without major investment. But has anyone seriously seen anything under Danny Wilson to say we will go up next season?
With maybe the leagues biggest budget at Sheff he was a massive failure. Hope I'm wrong but just lost hope under him.
What did you expect to see? He made us more competitive as a team, we're just lacking in quality. We were shocking when he came in, he did well to take it to the penultimate week. The lack of quality has finally caught up with us, so we go down. Next season is what DW should be judged on, after he has had a summer with HIS players.
Strange. You seem to be claiming that "opinion" is the right one? The PPG begs to differ we were better under Flicker. Not opinion. FACT.
