Moving players on and bringing in players he feels can make an immediate impact. With another two or three potentially coming in before the end of the month and a similar number moving in the opposite direction, no one could accuse him of doing an impersonation of Nero. After listening to him speak last night (straight forward talking, no American style management speak), along with Ben Mansford, I'm confident we're moving forward both in the short & long term with him in charge.
Danny was at pains to point out that none of this was because there'd been a clash of personalities. He simply wanted to freshen things up, although he was far from happy with the comments attributed to Scott Wiseman.
Of course there will !! Got 2 season long loans who we will not keep, plus 2 month to month loans who we won't keep and we still clearing the decks this January, we will need at least 8 players in the summer with players contracts ending as well.
Would have loved to have been there at first hand I'm finding his comments, but moreso his actions are giving me confidence for the future. We badly needed this clear out and it's a very good move to be doing it now rather than wait til the end of the season. A manager needs players he can trust, and whether through apathy, lack of skill, inability to listen, or the onset of time... the players we know he has let go or in the process of, weren't going to do what he required in the main.
