Danny's decision on Hoskins

    ... will have been made by now I reckon after a couple of weeks of assessing him. I'd expect some news in the coming days when the squad are back in England on whether he'll be offered a contract or not.

    Personally, I really hope he's been able to prove his fitness as he's a player I've always admired and hoped to see at Barnsley one day. A local lad with undoubted talent, proven goalscorer who knows the level we're playing at, and one who should be determined to prove himself after a run of dire luck with injuries and 18-months of football lost at his peak age. He would also be coming in as a senior member of the squad, a responsibility he might just thrive under.

    If Danny thinks he's up to it, I hope we can see a deal done, and Hoskins regain his form of three or four years ago.
